A Change in Plans

Over the Thanksgiving break me and my group decided it would be a good time to film. The original plan was to film the entire music video over the break throughout one day. However, there was a large change in plans. One of our group mates, Julie, was unable to film over the break. The reason she was unable to film was that she had practice with her JROTC in order to perform at the local Dolphins football game. Because of this we were down one group member and couldn't film half our shots. Julie was the one in charge of driving our group to the beach so without her I couldn't go there. Because of this, I could not film any of the beach scenes, which were around half our planed scenes. Another big change was that I had one less person to act with and one less person to help film. Luckily, I was able to adapt and come up with a new plan. I decided to film all the airport scenes as those are easier to get to. The next change I had to make was to have Sean's dad come with us to help us film. In group shots where both of us were in, his dad had to film us and in some scenes, he even had to be a background character. Another change I helped out in was I had to film the shot of the car driving past me. Previously, someone else, such as Julie's dad, was supposed to film that shot but I had to learn how to do that. I had to hold the phone stable which I am not very good at and smoothly show the car driving by. While filming, I played the part of someone picking Sean up from the airport and someone dropping him off later in the filming. I helped him put away his bags at the beginning and then helped him leave at the end. I also filmed all the solo shots of him. I did the shot that starts at his feet and then goes up until it reaches his head. All these plan changes caused a big headache but I was luckily able to adapt and improvise.
