CCR

This is my CCR, which is also my midterm, for AICE Media Studies..

The Final Product

Our music video took a long time to make. This does not change the fact that it was a rewarding project. It was both fun and exciting to work on. We learned even more tips and tricks when filming and editing thanks to this project. Our favorite part was hanging out and filming at the beach. The shots were fun to make there, and we got to try a lot of new things.   The most challenging shot to film was the sports shot. This was because we kept missing the throws or messing up a catch.  We did have some issues with the quality of our video towards the end of our editing process.  But we worked together as a team to resolve it. Maybe not completely but much better than before.

Finishing Up The Editing Process

Today was a very productive day. Me and my group finished editing our entire music video. I finished cropping the last few scenes. I realized some of the clips had lowered in quality. I realized this was because I had sent it so many times. First we recorded it on Julie's dad's phone. Afterward I texted the video to Julie. Next I sent it to our group chat so we all had access to the clips. Finally I sent it to the computer. This caused the videos to lower in quality a lot because of all the sending and shrinking the videos had to do. I solved this by having Julie's dad send them straight to the computer removing any quality issues. Another thing I worked on today was combining all the clips. I did this with iMovie just like with the first project. First I imported each clip into iMovie. Then I put them in the order listed according to our storyboard. Than while watching it I realized something. If I changed around the order of one or two scenes I could have the music line u

Cropping The Videos

Now that I had finished filming I decided to start editing the clips with my group. I started the editing by cropping the videos. The purpose of this was to shorten the clip so it fits in the space I left it while planning. The cropping also helped so that it would remove previous messed-up takes and any time I filmed too long. I slowly cropped each of the clips we had. I shortened them down to around 4-7 seconds each. The time varied depending on where in the music video I was going to use it. In order to find time to do these edits my groupmates got a pass and came to one of my classes. They came to my last-period class. This class is Comm Tech and has computers along with adobe products. This was obviously the best class for them to come for because of the tools available in the class. It was also the only class we all had that would also let us work on things unrelated to the class. I used iMovie along with the basic editing available in Sean's phone to crop them. At first, I

Difficulties At The Beach

Over the weekend me and my group filmed the rest of our music video. I had 6 shots left to film and got it all done at once. While filming I had to change a lot about the original plan. One thing I changed was instead of pizza I ate ice cream. This was because we were right next to an ice cream store while filming. Another reason was that a pizza was a lot more expensive and I couldn't move around while eating the pizza. Another shot change was the one where we were all dancing and partying. I had to change this because the beach was very full and I did not want to bother the other beachgoers. Instead of us partying, I did something similar. I hung out with my group on the beach and just chatted. This slight change wasn't as bothersome to the other people at the beach and was easier to film. The next shot was also slightly changed as a backup. I was supposed to play volleyball on the beach but once again it was still busy and there were no nets. To solve this problem I played
