Finalized Schedule
In the last blog, I explained the troubles we were having finding a day everyone is free. The first thing we did was we listed all the days we were busy. To do this we pulled up a calendar and each put an x on a square if we couldn't film that day. We put an o on the calendar when we were able to do that day as long as we work around something one of us has going on. After putting in the next few days one or 2 days immediately jumped out as good days to film on. First this upcoming Sunday the only thing any of us have going on is Sean's soccer game at night. This would give us several hours to film the whole thing as long as we start early in the morning. The other day we saw was Monday the 26th. Sean and I were free that day and Julie said she could probably work around the thing she was going to do. That means if we can't finish Sunday then hopefully, we can get the rest done on that Monday. Now we had to work out what time we would film at. Since we wanted to do Sunday we knew we had to start early. The time Sean had to be home was 2:30pm so we checked what time the parks opened. Based on when they open and when Sean is ready we decided on 9:00am. This would give us 5 and a half hours to film our whole project, and if we are fast this should be plenty of time. Another change we made was the filming location. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park was apparently too far for Julie. Because of this, I suggested Snyder Park. This park is closer to the middle between the 3 of us. Another benefit of this park is that it has more foresty areas and hiking trails that we can film on. The park is also bigger so if we are lucky less people will be there and we won't have to worry about filming around them.
