Filming Most Of The Scenes Today

Today our group of 4 went around our school and filmed most of the shots we will be using in the film. For now, we are only missing the first shot and the last shot. The first shot will be of a close-up of a checkmark in the shape of a Nike logo. The last shot will be cut to black and show the Nike logo. We took this picture right after we finished filming the last shot of the day and it was my shot. In my shot, it started with me walking down the hallway seen in the picture. From there, someone off-screen rolled a volleyball to me. From there I pick it up and look around confused. At the end, it pans down as I am looking for who gave me the ball and zooms in on the Nike sneakers. The goal of this shot is to contrast the other shots which largely consisted of athletic activities. It contrasted the athletic shots by being a shot seen in the perspective of an everyday Nike wearer. In other parts of the commercial, I helped out in ways that didn't involve being in the actual shots. I held the camera with some shots as someone else directed and another person acted. I also helped hold all the props. I held the group's bags when the person was filming, directing a scene, or acting in it. Also in certain shots like the soccer one I helped direct my group on how to follow the soccer ball and quickly get back to the actor to show his Nike logo. When we were having trouble showing both the goal and him quick enough I helped explain how to solve it. I told them they should follow the ball up to about halfway to the goal and then turn and see the actor. The actor would look happy with the shot and give enough time for the cameraperson to zoom in on the logo. This solution solved the issue we were having where we couldn't get back to the actor quick enough without the camera looking really fast and choppy or going over how much time we wanted the scene to take. By the end of the day, we had 4/6 shots filmed and had around 20 seconds of run time. After we film the last 2 shots we should easily reach the 30 second time limit.
