Getting Permission For My Music
Today I received a response from the person I emailed earlier this week. Luckily, they said yes. They said it was ok to use their music. They also said I could credit them however I wanted. To be exact they said, "Awesome! Go ahead and use it. You can credit me however you'd like. Hope it comes out great -Trickolas". This means I have 3 choices for how I will credit them. I can use their SoundCloud name where I got the email. I can use the YouTube name which I used to find the music. The last way I can credit them is to use their actual name from the emails. Their name was Nick Mervis. I will likely credit their real name that way it matches the rest of the credits which uses people's real names. I am glad the person responded this quickly. This is because many of my groupmates have not gotten a response yet. Once they get responses we will get to the next part of our project. They have also emailed other music artists trying to get responses. Next, we will start filming. Using our planning blog we know where we are filming. After filming we edit. Thanks to the storyboard we know exactly where this music is going to be in the film. It will be at the end to finish our movie opening.
