Introducing Myself to A level

My name is Beckett Brand and this is my introduction. I was born in Florida on February 14, 2006, otherwise known as Valentine's Day. I am 16 years old. My mom is Canadian and my dad is American. I also have an 18-year-old sister who was also born in Florida like me and is going to the New College of Florida. I am working towards my Canadian citizenship to officially be an American and Canadian citizen like my mom. I have lots of family up in Canada and try to visit them somewhat often. One thing I enjoy doing in my free time is doing small animations. I like making 2D and stop-motion animations out of Lego and clay. When making my small animations I use many of the same skills I will be using in this class. Some of the skills I use from this class are storyboarding and planning ahead to decide how I want my animation to look and where everything goes. I hope to improve my storyboarding and planning skills while taking this course. There are many other reasons why I started taking AICE Media Studies. One reason I ended up taking it was to help me achieve my AICE diploma. In order to get the AICE diploma, you need to pass 7 AICE courses. Another reason I chose this class was that I am into filmmaking. I like making small animations in my free time and I feel that the skills taught in this class will help me make better animations and better short animated films. The last reason I am taking this course is to learn how to film better and make live-action movies. I am now in A-level
media and am excited to continue my understanding of media. I plan to use everything I learned from my AS year to succeed this year.
